White-label partners

A white-label website business is your business. Customers know your name, visit your website, speak with your team and engage your business for the services you offer. You choose your brand, your market, your prices and the relationships you want to build. Provelopment does not own that business or control its customers.

You do not have to develop every website yourself. Provelopment can work behind your brand as a technical delivery partner, building and supporting the websites you commission. You bring the understanding of your customers and the services you want to offer; we bring website expertise when you need it.

The relationship is deliberately non-exclusive. You may commission Provelopment for one job and use your own team or a different provider for another. As your business develops, you can take on more technical work yourself, offer additional services or change direction entirely.

That freedom is an important part of the offer. Our objective is to make it easier for you to establish and grow an independent website business—not to make that business dependent on Provelopment.

Built around your business, not ours

  • Your identity comes first

Your business operates under the name and brand you choose. You use a domain you control, present your own services and decide how you position the business in the market. Customers should recognise you as the business they are engaging.

  • The customer relationship is yours

You find and work with your customers, discuss what they need, set the commercial offer and remain accountable for what your business promises. Provelopment performs only the technical work it has separately agreed to provide to you.

  • You decide who delivers the work

Ask Provelopment to quote for a website, do part of it yourself or work with a trusted contractor. You are not obliged to send every job to us, and there is no exclusive technical-supply requirement.

  • Your business can become more than websites

A relationship with a customer often reveals other opportunities: content, photography, translation, design or ongoing marketing support. You decide which services belong in your offer and who delivers them.

You own the relationship. We provide the work you commission.

A clear division of responsibility helps the customer know who they are dealing with and helps you decide how much technical work to take on.

What your business does

  • Choose your name, brand, domain and market.
  • Find customers and understand their business needs.
  • Describe your offer and set your own customer prices.
  • Agree the customer scope and manage expectations.
  • Collect the content, images and approvals the work needs.
  • Communicate with customers and follow up after delivery.
  • Choose technical providers and additional services.

What Provelopment can do

  • Discuss the technical requirements behind your offer.
  • Quote for agreed website work when you request it.
  • Build pages, features and website configurations.
  • Prepare and deploy a site when included in the scope.
  • Carry out agreed changes and technical improvements.
  • Provide further website services when commissioned.
  • Help your business develop its technical capabilities.

Start with a professional website of your own

Provelopment will configure and rebrand the standard partner website for you at no charge. This gives your business a credible starting point without an upfront development bill for the standard setup. We agree exactly what that setup includes before work begins; requests beyond it are scoped and quoted separately.

Standard partner setup — no charge

  • Apply your business identity and branding.
  • Configure the standard partner website.
  • Use the established website structure and content.
  • Prepare the standard website for launch.

Additional work — quoted separately

  • Extra pages beyond the standard website.
  • Custom sections and non-standard layouts.
  • Special design, branding or content work.
  • Custom functions and additional integrations.
  • Other work outside the agreed standard setup.

Your name, on a domain you control

A business should not need to give up control of its online identity to obtain technical help. Your partner website belongs on your domain, whether you set it up yourself or ask us to assist.

Register the domain yourself

Choose a suitable domain and register it with the registrar you prefer. The registration stays in your control, and you can decide how that domain is managed as the business grows.

  • You choose the registrar.
  • The registration remains yours.

Ask us for setup help

If arranging a domain feels unfamiliar, Provelopment can help organise the setup for an additional agreed fee. That is an optional setup service, not a requirement that we control the registration.

  • Provelopment is not acting as the registrar.
  • The domain remains yours.

The website your customers see

  • Your brand, approved by you

The website is presented under your business identity, with the logo, wording, services and imagery you approve. You review the content and appearance before launch. It is not positioned as a Provelopment website in disguise.

  • A foundation you can keep using

The site is built on Provelopment Foundation, which is free and open source. You can continue developing it with Provelopment, your own developers or another provider instead of being tied to a proprietary website platform.

  • Room for customers to grow

The same platform can support a straightforward local business website and more complex needs, including multiple languages, multiple locations and additional capabilities. Each customer's actual requirements are still assessed and scoped individually.

Build more around your customer relationships

Once a customer knows and trusts your business, a website may be the beginning of the relationship rather than the only service they need.

  • Translation and localisation

Help customers communicate across languages or adapt their messages to the market you know. You might deliver this yourself or work with a local specialist.

  • Graphic and brand design

Offer identity work, logos, page visuals, printed material or other design services that complement the customer's website and wider business.

  • Photography and video

Organise original imagery, product photography, short promotional videos or other visual content that makes the customer's business easier to understand.

  • Other practical business services

Add useful services that suit your own strengths and your market, from copywriting to ongoing content support. These are your offers to shape, price and deliver.

These additional services belong to your business. You decide which to offer, what to charge and whether to deliver them personally or with other suppliers.

From customer conversation to delivered website

You remain responsible for the customer relationship. Technical delivery is a decision your business makes, not a supplier relationship forced on every job.

  • Understand what the customer needs

Talk through the purpose of the website, the audience, the pages and content required, and any deadlines or special functionality. Good scoping starts by understanding the problem rather than choosing a package before the requirements are clear.

  • Choose the right delivery approach

Decide whether you want to build the site yourself, commission a contractor or ask Provelopment for a quote. You can compare the scope, quality, costs and responsibilities before making that choice.

  • Commission only what is needed

If you choose Provelopment, agree the particular technical work with us. A standard website, a new feature or a targeted change can be scoped separately; you do not need to hand over your entire business or every future job.

  • Remain the customer's commercial contact

Your business agrees the customer-facing offer and manages the relationship. We work to the technical scope you have commissioned, while you coordinate communication and approvals with your customer.

  • Set the price for your own offer

You decide what to charge your customer and how to price any additional services you provide. Your delivery costs and commercial arrangements with Provelopment are discussed separately and agreed for the applicable work.

Grow from local agent to your own brand

If you began as a local agent, you have already been learning about customer needs, creating local connections and building confidence in the market. You may decide that the next step is to put those strengths behind a business that contracts with customers under your own name.

You can make that change without having to build a technical department first. Provelopment can help you establish your white-label presence, plan the services you want to offer and continue delivering the technical work you choose to commission. Your business sets its own direction; our role is to help where our services are useful.

Your existing relationships need not be left behind. For customers you originally introduced to Provelopment as an agent, we can work together to identify who would like to continue with your new business. Where each customer chooses to move and the parties agree the practical and commercial arrangements, the customer relationship can transition to your white-label business. Provelopment can continue as the technical provider if you and the customer want that arrangement, or you can select another delivery option.

This is not an automatic transfer of contracts or a claim that a customer belongs to an agent or a provider. It is a supported path for a business to grow, with the customer's choice respected. We want to help you take that step, not make staying an agent the only workable option.

Plan an agreed customer transition

Growth should be encouraged, but the customer experience still matters. A planned transition is better than an assumed transfer.

  1. Decide what the new business will offer

Choose your brand, services, customer experience and how you want delivery to work. We can discuss a suitable standard partner website and the technical support you may want during the change.

  2. Give each customer a genuine choice

Identify customers who may wish to work with your new business. Explain clearly what changes, what stays the same and who would be responsible for their website and support. Existing Provelopment customer arrangements continue unless an appropriate change is agreed.

  3. Move the work cleanly, with support

For customers who agree, work with Provelopment on the commercial and technical handover. We can assist with website continuity and, when commissioned, continue technical delivery behind your brand. The transition should be orderly for the customer and workable for your business.

You can leave with your business

A partnership should make staying worthwhile, not leaving difficult.

As a white-label partner, your brand, domain and the customer relationships your business establishes remain yours. If you decide to stop commissioning Provelopment, you can continue serving those customers and choose another provider or deliver the work yourself. The website's content, branding and site-specific setup remain associated with your business, and the underlying Provelopment Foundation software is open source under the Apache-2.0 licence.

Naturally, any change of technical provider still needs an orderly handover of applicable services, access and hosting arrangements. The details depend on what has actually been commissioned. Our principle is to make transition possible and practical, not to use proprietary technology or exclusive-supplier terms to hold your business in place.

If your business began as a local agency, the earlier Provelopment customer agreements are a separate matter: customers can choose to move into your new white-label business through an agreed transition. Once they contract with your business, they are your customer relationships to manage. We are here to help make that growth possible.

The software is free. Working with us is a choice.

Provelopment Foundation is free and open-source software. You do not need a white-label agreement to use it, and you do not need to keep paying Provelopment for permission to operate a site built on it. You can obtain the code, work with developers of your choice and take responsibility for your own installation if that suits your business.

What a partnership offers is practical help: an established website starting point, technical delivery you can commission and someone to discuss more demanding requirements with as you grow. Those services should earn your continued business on their merits.

Let’s talk about the business you want to build

Tell us about the market you want to serve, the customers you hope to help and the kind of website business you would like to create. You might be starting with a new idea, already operating as a local agent or running an established business that wants more technical capability.

We can talk through whether a white-label arrangement is a good fit, how the standard partner website could help you get started, what technical services you may need and which responsibilities would sit with each business. You do not need to have every detail finalised before getting in touch.

We can explore whether the opportunity is suitable and agree practical and commercial terms individually, rather than expecting every business to fit the same arrangement. The first step is simply to tell us what you want to build.
