Local agents
You may know the people, businesses and opportunities in your area better than any website developer ever could. You know how to start a conversation, listen to what a business is trying to achieve and recognise when a better website could make a difference.
What you may not have is a development team, hosting infrastructure or the experience needed to maintain professional websites yourself. You do not need those things to begin.
As a Provelopment local agent, you run your own independent business around developing local relationships and introducing suitable customers to our website services. You find opportunities, help customers explain what they need and stay involved in the local conversation where that adds value. Provelopment assesses each enquiry, agrees directly with customers on the work it accepts, delivers the technical services and looks after those customers under its own service agreements.
You can earn commission or an agreed share of qualifying service revenue according to the arrangement we agree with you. The opportunity is to build a business around your strengths while technical delivery sits with people equipped to do it.
You are not signing up to a permanent career path or giving up the right to build something bigger. You can remain a local agent, decide to step away or grow into a white-label business under your own brand. We want each of those choices to be workable.
Put your local knowledge to work
You bring the local relationships and an understanding of customer needs. Provelopment brings the technical capability behind the services it accepts.
Find businesses you can genuinely help
Build relationships with the businesses around you. Ask what they want their website to do, where their current online presence falls short and what they have been putting off because it feels too technical or expensive to investigate. The first value you bring is a useful conversation, not a sales script.
Turn a conversation into a clear requirement
Help a prospective customer explain the audience, services, content and outcomes they have in mind. You can collect the practical detail and pass it to Provelopment without pretending to know every technical answer. We can help identify what is feasible and what needs more discussion.
Stay connected without carrying the technical burden
Customers may appreciate a familiar local person who helps coordinate the conversation and keeps information moving. Provelopment remains responsible for the website work and support it agrees to provide, so you are not left maintaining infrastructure or solving problems outside your expertise.
Develop the business at your own pace
Spend your time making new connections, building trust and finding worthwhile work rather than hiring developers before you have customers. As your experience grows, you can decide whether introductions remain your focus or whether you want to offer more through a business of your own.
How a customer introduction works
A clear division of responsibility gives both you and the customer confidence about who is doing what.
Listen and make the introduction
You speak with the customer, learn what they are trying to accomplish and introduce the opportunity to Provelopment. The initial conversation is about needs and possibilities—not a promise of a price, deadline or feature before the work has been assessed.
Agree the work directly with the customer
Provelopment reviews the requirements, discusses the proposed services and provides its own scope and commercial terms. The customer chooses whether to proceed and contracts with Provelopment for the work we accept.
Deliver and look after the website
Provelopment performs the agreed technical work and provides the ongoing service covered by the customer agreement. You can help keep communications useful and clear, while your participation is handled under our separate agency terms.
Three directions. Your choice.
You do not need to decide the final shape of your business on day one. Your experience and ambitions can change, and the arrangement can change with them.
Keep building as a local agent
You may find that local relationships, marketing and customer introductions are exactly the business you want. There is no requirement to become a developer, create a white-label company or take over technical delivery. You can keep building in the role while it continues to work for you.
Choose to step away
If the arrangement no longer suits your circumstances or plans, you are free to stop acting as an agent. We agree the practical notice, attribution and closing arrangements that apply; you are not required to stay just so customers can keep receiving the website services they contracted for.
Grow into your own brand
If you want a business that sells website services under its own name, we can help you explore a white-label arrangement. You can establish your own customer relationships, choose who delivers the technical work and plan an agreed transition for customers you previously introduced. Provelopment can remain your delivery partner if you want our help.
Your freedom, with customers supported at every step
There is an important distinction between leaving an agency arrangement and growing into a white-label business. Neither should leave a customer without a clear way forward.
If you decide to stop acting as an agent, Provelopment continues fulfilling its existing service commitments to the customers who contracted with us. Those services do not depend on you remaining involved. We can take over the day-to-day communication directly, while the agency's closing and commission arrangements are handled under the terms agreed with you. You can move on knowing that customers will still be looked after.
If you decide to establish your own white-label business, you do not have to start every customer relationship from zero. We can work with you to identify customers who may wish to move to your new business, explain what would change for them and plan an orderly transition. Where the customer agrees and the necessary commercial arrangements are in place, the new business can take over the customer relationship. Provelopment can continue providing technical delivery behind your brand if that is useful, or you may choose another provider.
The customer chooses whom to work with; nobody is transferred merely because the agent's business model changes. That principle protects the customer's independence just as the arrangement should protect yours. We will approach a proposed move constructively, not use the existing customer contract as a way to prevent you from growing.
Our objective is simple: if you leave, the customer remains supported. If you grow, there is a practical route to helping willing customers grow with you.
A supported starting point, without a fixed destination
The point is not to move everyone through a programme. It is to leave you with real choices as your business develops.
While you are a local agent
- You run your own independent local business.
- You find opportunities and introduce customers.
- Provelopment agrees and delivers its own customer services.
- Your commission or revenue participation follows agreed terms.
- Customers keep their Provelopment service if you step away.
If you choose a white-label business
- Your new business operates under your own brand.
- You agree services directly with your own customers.
- Willing existing customers can transition through an agreed plan.
- Provelopment can help with the move and technical delivery.
- You remain free to use your own team or another provider.
How commercial participation works
Agree what your introductions are worth
A local agent earns an agreed commission or an agreed share of qualifying service revenue attributable to the customers they introduce. It is a commercial arrangement between independent businesses, not a salary or a guaranteed level of earnings.
Put the terms in writing before you start
We agree which services qualify, how a customer is attributed, the rate or basis of participation, when payments arise, how long they may continue and what happens if the agency arrangement ends or changes. No particular commission percentage, recurring payment, customer volume or exclusive territory is promised on this page.
Independent business. Clear authority.
You operate independently; you are not an employee or a Provelopment office. You cannot sign customer contracts, promise prices or delivery dates, or make binding service commitments on Provelopment's behalf. Provelopment decides which work it accepts and is responsible for what it contracts to deliver. If you later establish a white-label business, that is a separately agreed way of working, with support for customer transitions where the customers choose to move.
Getting started
Tell us about the opportunity you see
Let us know the area or business community you want to serve, the kinds of customers you understand and how you would like to develop relationships. You do not need a finished business plan before we talk.
Explore a practical way of working together
We discuss the services you could introduce, how customer conversations would work, where Provelopment takes responsibility and what commercial participation may be suitable. We agree the terms before you begin representing the arrangement.
Begin locally, with technical support behind you
Once an arrangement is agreed, you can start developing opportunities. Bring us a real requirement; we will discuss what can be delivered, and the customer decides whether to proceed. You can build from there at a pace that makes sense for your business.
You can build independently, too
Local agency is one option, not a licence to use Provelopment Foundation. The Foundation is free and open source, and you can use it to build a website business of your own without continuing an agency or a white-label arrangement.
We would like you to work with Provelopment because the relationship genuinely helps you and your customers—not because leaving would be technically difficult. If your ambitions take you in another direction, the platform should not stand in your way.
